    In addition to this, it’s important to understand how to answer agree or disagree essay in IELTS, so let’s start with the importance of outlining:

    Your outline structure should include:

    1. The first main reason why you agree OR disagree (For body paragraph 1)

    – First reason for the first main idea

    – Second reason for the first main idea

    2. Second main reason why you agree OR disagree (For body paragraph 2)

    – First reason for the SECOND main idea

    The second reason for the SECOND main idea

    Having an idea of how you are going to structure your agree disagree writing task 2 essay question is important because you want to ensure that you show the examiner that you are able to write your essay in a clear and concise manner. This outline will also help you with to what extent do you agree or disagree thesis statement that you will add to your essay. Additionally, the structure of your essay should include 4 paragraphs.

    6. Can we partially agree in IELTS essay?

    Many students ask the question “can we partially agree in IELTS essay?” The short answer is No. You must choose ONE side, you either AGREE or DISAGREE and must back up your points by giving strong evidence. Therefore, no you should not partially agree with the IELTS essay. You should show the examiner that you are able to only choose one side and revolve your entire essay around that one side.

    Once you have chosen one side in your IELTS agree and disagree essay, then you should write your essay on agreeing or disagreeing. Here is how your essay structure should look:

    Essay Structure:

    Paragraph 1: Introduction

    Paragraph 2: ONE reason why you agree OR disagree

    Paragraph 3: ANOTHER reason why you agree OR disagree

    7. How to Answer Agree Or Disagree Essay In IELTS

    Here is how to answer the agree or disagree essay in IELTS. When writing an introduction for the agree or disagree question, it’s important that you are able to persuade the audience to continue reading your essay. This is the most important part when thinking about what you’re going to include in your IELTS writing agree or disagree question.

    Additionally, the word limit of the IELTS writing task 2 is 250 words, so it’s important that you are able to write a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 275 words. I recommend that you follow this format for your introduction:

    Your introduction should only be 3 sentences maximum.

    Sentence 1: Discuss what the main idea is of the essay.

    Sentence 2: Explain the question using your own words and what it’s about.

    Sentence 3: Discuss if you agree/ disagree and introduce the specific ideas that you will discuss in the coming paragraphs.

    8. Agree or Disagree Essay Examples– Body Paragraph 1

    In this section, you are provided with agree or disagree examples. In your essay, you must include 2 separate body paragraphs that should revolve around the main reason why you agree OR disagree with the question. Remember, that you ONLY chose one side and write your entire essay revolved around it.

    Having said that, your first body paragraph only has to be a maximum of 5 sentences. Although this may seem like a short paragraph, you need to remember that the fewer sentences you write ensure that you write in a coherent manner.

    Let’s take a look at the 5 different sentences you should include in your first body paragraph:

    Sentence 1 Introduce the FIRST reason and say if you agree OR disagree
    Sentence 2 Discuss the two exact points of why you agree/disagree with the first reason that will be backed up with strong evidence
    Sentence 3 Thoroughly discuss the first point in detail and how it supports your reason
    Sentence 4 Thoroughly discuss the second point in detail and how it supports your reason
    Sentence 5 Conclusion

    How To Write An Essay About Agree Or Disagree – Body Paragraph 2

    Remember to follow these tips to know how to write an essay about agree or disagree It’s important to know that a good sentence should have a minimum of 15 words and a maximum of 20 words. So make sure you don’t cram your sentences throughout your body paragraphs. Introducing your body paragraph by including a topic sentence helps the reader understand the reader get an idea of what you will be discussing.

    Your second body paragraph should also be a maximum of 5 sentences. Let’s have a look at what your second body paragraph should include:

    Sentence 1 Introduce the SECOND reason and say if you agree OR disagree
    Sentence 2 Discuss the SECOND REASON and two exact points of why you agree/disagree that will be backed up with strong evidence
    Sentence 3 Thoroughly discuss the first point in detail and how it supports your reason
    Sentence 4 Thoroughly discuss the second point in detail and how it supports your reason
    Sentence 5 Conclusion

    9. Agree Disagree Essay IELTS Conclusion

    When you’re writing a conclusion, it’s important that you consider multiple factors to ensure that you are covering all the aspects of a good closing. With the agree disagree essay IELTS conclusion, you should summarize your main points that you discussed as well as cover the supporting evidence. Also, you must ensure that you reiterate the thesis statement, which will help sum up your findings. Next, you should concentrate on the overall reason why you agree or disagree.

    It’s important to note that a conclusion should only include 3 sentences. Let’s have a look at what points each sentence should include:

    Sentence 1 A summary of your opinion
    Sentence 2 Reword reason # 1 of why you agree OR disagree. DO NOT give a new reason
    Sentence 3 Reword reason # 2 of why you agree OR disagree. DO NOT give a new reason

Evidently, following this format will help you write an organized essay that will allow you to get your points across in a clear and concise manner. Equally important, is the ability to outline your essay before you start writing. This is vital because it will help you get your ideas across on paper to have a guide to follow. Having said that, being able to write an essay with at least 250 words is essential because if you write less than 250 words, you will score a low band. Therefore, my recommendation is that you include 250 to 275 words maximum.
