    1. What is your name?

Many of my friends call me Abdul for short, but my actual name is Abdullah.

    2. Is your name important to you?

I find my name carries a very symbolic meaning. I also like the fact that even though friends may call me Abdul for short, they understand that my full name is Abdullah.

    3. Why do so many people change their name?

Some individuals enjoy choosing names that suit their personalities more than the name that was given to them at birth. I find that this happens quite often with the younger generation.

Questions That May Be Asked Related To Your Hometown –  IELTS Speaking Part 1

    ielts speaking part 2 tips

Here are some questions you may get about your hometown – IELTS speaking part 1.

    1. Describe the street you live on in your hometown

The city where I come from is known for its mountainous scenery and beautiful farmland. The exact street I live on in Ghani city is in the middle of both beautiful scenic views. When I look out my bedroom, I see the farmland but when I look out my kitchen window, I see the scenic mountain views. I pretty much get the best of both worlds and I love it.

    2. How types of jobs are offered to people in your hometown?

People in my city often work in the farming industry. Especially because Ghani city is the world producer of more than 70 fruits and vegetables. Therefore, I’d say the majority of the jobs offered in my city are farming jobs.

    3. What are some major changes your hometown has gone through in the past 10 years?

This is a great question! Especially because Ghani city has gone through the biggest transitions within these 10 years. The city never had any malls and only one major grocery store. This made it quite challenging for people in the past, especially because they had to travel over 30 minutes to get to another grocery store in another close-by city. Within the past 5 years, over 10 grocery stores and 2 malls have opened up in the city.

Questions Related To The Weather – IELTS Speaking Part 1

Here are how you should answer your questions about the weather for IELTS speaking part 1.

    1. What is the longest season your hometown faces?

Summer lasts for about 7 months in Ghani city. The rest of the five months is usually rain and gloomy. This makes it easier for the farmers to grow their crops throughout these long 7 months.

    2. What season do you prefer the most?

My favorite season has to be spring. I love the smell of the fresh flowers blooming and the beautiful rainbows I get to see quite often in the sky.

    3. Would you say you are someone who feels like their mood changes depending on the weather?

I would be lying if I said that certain weather doesn’t make me feel down. Truthfully, when it rains in my hometown it gets very difficult to see the roads, especially when we travel through the mountains. I’d say this is the only time I feel a bit down because of the rain, as it gets hard to get out to run errands.

Questions Related To Advertisement For IELTS Speaking Part 1

Many students have been asked questions related to advertisement – IELTS speaking part 1.

    1. Where do you see the most advertisements?

These days, advertisements usually pop up everywhere. As funny as this sounds I would say the place where I see the most advertisements is probably on Facebook. Especially when I scroll through different websites, I end up seeing the exact product I searched for on Facebook.

    2. Do you feel that you are influenced by a product when you see an advertisement for it?

Truthfully, when I want to buy a product, I look up reviews from customers who have already owned the product because they leave honest feedback.

    3. What kind of advertisements do you like?

The most preferred advertisement for me is when new restaurants have ads because I am able to see what types of food they offer and be updated with the new types of food in my hometown.

Questions Related To Music For IELTS Speaking Part 1

Some other questions you may get are about music IELTS speaking part 1. In these questions, you should be ready to answer the questions even if you are not interested in the type of music they are asking about.

    1. Do you prefer listening to music?

For me, music often changes my mood. Especially when it comes to working out and not feeling motivated. I can change the song and my mood will completely change on the treadmill.

    2. Has your taste in music changed from your youth till now?

When I was younger, I used to listen to a lot of pop music and never really cared about lyrics. However, now that I am older, I like music that has a good meaning.

    3. Do you find the older generation has a different taste in music compared to the younger generation?

I don’t think age has anything to do with a person’s preference for music. I think it has more to do with what they prefer to hear and what they find a connection with.
